A taste of Geelong & The Bellarine for Incentive Planners
Twelve top-level incentive planners from Indonesia experienced the best of Geelong and The Bellarine last week, on an exclusive familiarisation of the region organised in partnership between Business Events Geelong, Melbourne Convention Bureau and Business Events Australia.
After spending a week discovering Australia and Melbourne the last leg of their incentive sourcing adventure saw them discover Geelong and The Bellarine.
Arriving in style from Melbourne via Port Phillip Ferries, the agents were eager to disembark and begin discovering just why Geelong and The Bellarine is a must include destination for any incentive program.

First stop was the breathtaking Jack Rabbit Vineyard, where the views alone will sweep you off your feet. The venue features unrivalled panoramic views across the bay to Melbourne, the You Yangs, Geelong and beyond, and this is only just the beginning.

After taking in the scenery, our guests dined at Jack Rabbit Restaurant, where they experienced a live mussels cooking demonstration and tasting from the Head Chef, Adrian Tozer. It was then time for a scrumptious lunch and wine tastings.

With full bellies and warm hearts, it was then time to move onto the next venue and experience, Curlewis Golf Club. Needless to say the agents were once again impressed! Commanding in both scope and ambience, no detail or expense has been spared in bringing The Bellarine’s newest and most dynamic destination to life. Here the agents were taken on a tour of the Claribeaux Restaurant & function spaces and then it was time to check out the accommodation.
Curlewis’s accommodation is like no other. Cool eco-suite installations which are nestled amidst indigenous native landscape, flanking one of the region’s most revered golf courses. Luxe and contemporary, each room features a private balcony, custom robes, divine bedding and guarantees every creature comfort is catered for.
We then moved next door for a spot of Golf at The Range @ Curlewis. Here the team tee’d off in a competition to see who could achieve the longest drive. It was just what they needed to get those competitive juices flowing after a day of indulging in scrumptious food, wine & views.

After a winner was announced, the group departed to Narana Aboriginal Cultural Centre where they learned more about the owners of the land in which Australia occupies. They also had the chance to hand feed the native animals and mastered the art of boomerang throwing.

Post Narana, it was time for the agents to board the bus and be transported back to Melbourne, with their incentive discovery adventure coming to a close.
We were so honoured to introduce this group of respected incentive planners from Indonesia to Geelong and The Bellarine.
“Initial feedback from the group has been extremely positive. I have heard from many of the participants that the famil has opened their eyes up to many possibilities and opportunities to host their events in our region” said Mark Day, Convention Bureau Manager, Business Events Geelong.
