AIME 2023. The best one yet.

Asia Pacific’s biggest meetings and events trade show returned to Melbourne this February! Welcoming more than 400 buyers domestic and international buyers across the two-day trade show.

Looking back at AIME 2022 buyer numbers, there was a 40% growth on the previous years buyer attendance. With these numbers we can comfortably state that the Business Events Industry is back and we are ready to see what this year will bring for our region.

Business Events Geelong hosted and exhibited in conjunction with the team at Business Events Victoria.  Joining us to also represent our region was Higher Mark, Novotel, Holiday Inn Werribee and Curlewis Golf Club. To say team Geelong and The Bellarine was on show to the world, is an understatement and we want to acknowledge the hours they dedicated to promoting our region and their incredible offering.

To give you a summary of the event; it kicked off with the Welcome Function hosted at Marvel Stadium. With a plethora food and wine available for all to enjoy, those in attendance let their hair down and danced the night away to the renowned Hot Dub Time Machine.  To celebrate the 30th anniversary of AIME Hot Dub showcased the last 30 years of music. The launch event ended with a spectacular fireworks display.

The next morning was when all the work began. Each morning buyers and exhibitors had the pleasure of beginning a busy day of meetings with the sound of the didgeridoo and a freshly brewed coffee to get the days energy flowing.

It was great to reconnect with new and old acquaintances.  Over the three days, over approximately 1,500 meetings were conducted between Business Events Geelong, Curlewis Golf Club, Holiday Inn Werribee and Novotel and the AIME Buyers.
