Business Events Geelong Recognised with Industry State Award For The Third Consecutive Year

Business Events Geelong was awarded winner of the Regional Destination Marketing Organisation category at the Victorian 2016 Meetings & Events Australia (MEA) Industry Awards, held at RACV City Club in Melbourne last night.
The MEA Industry Awards recognise excellence and best business practice in the Meetings & Events Industry. They encourage industry professionals to excel in the achievement of their business and personal goals, and reward those who achieve outstanding results.
This is the third consecutive year Business Events Geelong has taken out this award, winning both the State and National award in the same category at last year’s awards.
Mark Day, Convention Bureau Manager said “Winning the award for a third year is a true testament to the hard work and dedication of the Business Events Geelong team. We were thrilled to receive this award and will continue to strengthen Geelong and The Bellarine region as a premier place to hold a business event.”
Business Events Geelong is the Convention Bureau to Geelong and The Bellarine, assisting Meeting and Conference organisers to source venues and suppliers for their next event.
Business Events Geelong is now a finalist for the National 2016 Meetings & Events Australia Industry Awards being held in Sydney in May 2017. Winning the award at the National’s will see Business Events Geelong recognised in the MEA Hall of Fame.
