Convention Bureau Definition:

There are 16 Convention Bureaux scatted across a wide range of destinations in Australia.

“An organisation that promotes the development and marketing of a destination to increase visitor numbers by focusing on the meeting, incentive, conference and exhibition markets.”

What exactly does this mean? Well, in simple terms we exist to help people planning business events obtain all the information they need to hold their event in a specific region, in our case Greater Geelong and The Bellarine region.

So why do we all focus our time on Business Events? Well…

So, you can see how important business events are to a regional town like Geelong, or for that matter the whole of Australia.

We work with a range of organisations like corporate businesses, associations and government departments. Our main goal is to assist event organisers such as executive assistance, internal event planners and professional conference organisers that work in these areas plan their event, our services are completely FREE.

How do we do this? Well, there is a whole range of services we provide. Such as running familiarisation programs.

Looks fun right? Well it is.

We invite event planners to attend a tour of our region for 2 days, showcasing the business event products in Geelong and The Bellarine such as venues, hotels, fun activities and potential dinner locations.

While it is a whole lot of fun, this helps the event planners see what the capabilities our region has when hosting a business event. So when their CEO asks them to plan the next off-site team meeting or yearly conference, they know exactly how Geelong and The Bellarine can service their needs.
