Event Spotlight: Cure Cystic Fibrosis, The Pier Geelong

The Pier Geelong played host to Cure Cystic Fibrosis’ Gala Dinner recently, an annual event thrown to raise much-needed funds to support research for a cure.
Patrons arrived dressed in their very best at the waterfront venue and tucked into beautiful platters, a two-course meal and drinks and enjoyed lovely live entertainment.
Silent and live auctions were held, and a total of $107,500 was raised by the end of the evening.
A spokesperson from Cystic Fibrosis Geelong said: “We are very excited to announce that we made a profit of $107,500, of which every cent will go to the Cure4CF Foundation to support research for a Cure for Cystic Fibrosis.
“In the next few months we will share the research projects that this money will be supporting.”
“We are a 100 percent volunteer, unpaid committee, all with a connection to Cystic Fibrosis. We are passionate about raising as much money and awareness for a cure as is possible.”
Pier Geelong said they were “thrilled” to have been a part of the “incredible event” once again and can’t wait to see the outcomes edging towards a cure! Congratulations to all involved.
