Searoad Ferries has officially opened its doors to ‘Tarra’, the new $15.9 million Queenscliff Ferry terminal. This development will further enhance the visitor experience for those venturing across the sea to the Mornington Peninsular and also bringing to the region a new luxurious event space.

Searoad Ferries CEO Matt McDonald said opening up the full facility in April was a monumental achievement.

“We are very excited to be officially open after what has been a challenging three years,” Mr McDonald said.

“The internal fit-out of the Queenscliff Ferry Terminal is of the highest quality that perfectly complements the surrounding natural environment and we can’t wait for it to be officially opened.”

Tarra features an event space which can cater for up to 1000 patrons, a restaurant and a café all which offer spectacular views of Port Phillip Bay and Port Phillip Heads.

Opening night was a sceptical to behold. To begin the evening and also the formalities of the official opening  and honouring of the traditional owners via Traditional Owner group Wadawurrung People. After proceedings guests were ushered inside and upstairs to begin the festivities. Welcomed with champagne, delicious and local wine, exquisite canapes and a spectacular seafood experience.
