TARRA Queenscliff launching new seasonal menu

TARRA Restaurant and Events Queenscliff launches its new seasonal menu in mid-February, with Executive Chef Michael Demagistris delighted to be developing a menu that highlights regional produce. The food offering draws on Michael’s heritage, everything made with love and a sense of place with a range of seafood dishes including King Prawns, Clams, Oysters, and ‘hero’ dish Baked Scallops. Inspired by Michael’s love for the sea and its surrounding environment, the scallops are sweet with a smoky bonito butter, finger lime and local sea herbs.

Michael brings a wealth of experience to TARRA, having previously worked at some of Australia’s most prestigious restaurants including Jacques Reymond. Known for his innovative approach to cooking and extensive use of local produce, Michael has also been recognised in the television media, featuring in the top four of TV series MasterChef, The Professionals.

Recent event attendees at TARRA have been blown away by Michael’s creativity. From potatoes baked in a salt and herb dough and cracked open like an egg, to Apple Pie ‘shooters’ where you suck in the whole contents for a mouth-watering explosion of flavour of buttery shortbread, caramelised apples, vanilla cream cheese and white chocolate whipped ganache, cinnamon creme patisserie and to finish burnt meringue – it’s a match made in heaven and will leave you wanting more.

The dedicated Food & Beverage and Events team are able to craft a menu to cater for any event in a broad range of spaces from a board meeting, small group lunch, product launch to a stunning cocktail party of up to 400 people. TARRA’s theme is simple things done extraordinarily well.

TARRA Queenscliff – for a stunning beachfront location, award winning architecture and amazing food.
